It off-key out that I was veto from victimization atomic number 78 as a catalyst because it was in addition expensive. come in of the stay catalysts beseech, and Tungsten, Iron was the to the highest degree eco nomicalal and useful one as it is less expensive and yielded a great essence of ammonia while I was able to make a big(p) profit as well. The Tungsten catalyst did yield a sensibly high get of ammonia, however not a very high cyberspace profit was make from it and this is again due to the economic implications of aptitude and production as mentioned. When I did not use any catalysts, the problem was that the time to equilibrate the reactions was atrocious, and very slow. With the criteria highest yield and alacritous reaction in mind, the most optimal gang to produce ammonia was the 400-500C (479C) temperature range, with the 900-1000 Atm range (989atm). and on with the iron catalyst produced 66. % of ammonia, and at to the lowest degree(prenominal) $33, 000 in elucidate profit. I only managed to exceed that profit when I did not use any catalysts, moreover again the reaction time is way too slow and therefore senseless. I probably could ware unploughed on button to step by step adjust the temperature and pressure one by one to look for an even higher(prenominal) yield and net profit, but time is an pop out and I would agree to sit for a long time doing this.

Generally, in most cases, the use of que in either objects or subject position in Spanish is often equivalent of the use of the English words such as whom, who, that and which in the contemporary English grammar as shown in the following examples El hombre que es pobreThe man who is poor (Person, Subject) La senorita que conoci The young lady whom I met (Person, Object) In English, relative clause usually follows the noun which it modifies. The choice of relative pronoun is normally affected by whether the clause is modifying human or non-human noun as well as the role of the relative pronoun in the relative clause2. For example, who is applied for a human antecedent eon that is only used for a non human antecedent. However, a major difference in the use of relative pronouns in Spanish and English is that while relative pronoun is usually omitted in English, this is not the case in Spanish as shown below La casaquecompramos es nuevaThe house that we bought is new. As seen in the English version, the relative pronoun that can easily be omitted without changing the meaning of the sentence. On the other hand, just like English, Spanish also has a number of definitive hold articles (equivalent to the) as well as indefinite articles (equivalent to the English a/an, some). Research Methods in Education (Topic Question undecided) Essay

Research Methods in Education (Topic Question undecided) - Essay ExampleA quantitative study conducted on 415 students and 83 teachers in public tames in the US revealed that students and teachers in schools with uniform policies generally felt safer, had higher self-esteem and more positive attitudes toward school climate, than students and teachers in public schools where no uniform policies were in place (Wade & Stafford, 2003).A study conducted by Gottfredson and Gottfredson (2001) involving 848 school principals in the US indicate that one of the main activities that schools work through to improve student behaviour and academic outcomes is to improve school climate. Implementing mandatory school uniform policies have been a subject of much discussion with change magnitude beguile in its alliance to improved school climate. It has been suggested that the mere implementation of a school uniform policy at the very least symbolizes a schools commitment to school climate change and this perception alone improves student outlook and performance (Brunsma & Rockquemore, 1998).Brunsma and Rockquemore (2003) observe however that with all the interest in the link between school uniform policies and school climate and the importance of school climate to student behaviour, safety and academic achievement, research on the significance of school uniform is sorely lacking. Much of the research is purely theoretical or uses flawed methods. Therefore, more research is needed on the implications and durability of mandatory school uniforms (Brunsma & Rockquemore, 2003). This proposed research will thus fill a gap in the literature by examining and analysing the extent to which a mandatory school uniform policy effects perceptions of school climate. It is anticipated that this research will provide empirical evidence of student and teachers perception of school uniform and its relationship to school climate and will identify areas for further

My goal for carrying out this interview is to understand how people view culture and cultural changes and how they affect their life in totality. This will go a ache way in assisting people from different cultures to understand one another hence live in harmony despite of their cultural differences and also second researchers in the cross cultural counseling to be aware of the issues facing people, their attitudes and how to help them cope better in different cultural settings. Shahe S. Kazarian, David R. Evans (2001). Results and discussion of the interview The interview went on successfully since the people I interviewed were willing and ready to devote their time to answer my questions to the best of their knowledge and ability. They seemed to be very poverty-stricken and open.I interviewed two people and these are 1) Dominic from Jamaica 2) Ramya from India In this interview, I asked Dominic and Ramya the following questions 1. Can you tell me your point of view on what culture is? 2. How does your culture impact on your belief systems and life experience? 3. What was considered important to your parents? 4. What expectation did your parents place on you regarding religion? 5. What was the attitude of being a female/male in your culture? 6. How does your culture shape your experiences in interacting with people in the ? a) office surround, ? b) home environment ? c) general social environment (e. g. disjointies and going out) 7. What are your suggestions for lessen the impact of cultural divide that may occur in Australia? Dominic viewed culture as the Culture is the values, traditions and beliefs that the socie ty you grew up in instills in you. He believes that the culture you are brought up in is the one which moulds the beliefs that you hold and also determines how a person will behave/react to different environments and situations. His parents, who instilled the values in him hence teaching him culture, were have-to doe withed about making him know and appreciate different cultures and hence help him to fit in the society in which he lives. This concern from his parents is clearly seen when he states that they made him live in different countries, go to different schools which have pupils from all social classes for example the poor in Jamaica, be keen on politics and current affairs, see plays and read books from his country and throughout the world. The parents valued education as a way of getting gladden and satisfaction in knowing and practicing what you know rather than getting employment. To him, the parents have a very great influence to the way a person believes and the values that he holds close to him.Shahe S. Kazarian, David R. Evans (2001) His parents considered it very crucial to develop strong network of his family and friends. They also taught him to take part in activities that lead to the development of the community such as being involved in politics, community activities, charity work and education. This is further evidence that parents shape the beliefs and cultural values that their children hold. Dominic in taking part in this interview shows his willingness to participate to contribute to community development a character that he was taught by his parents. However, his parents seem not to have controlled nor guided his purpose as pertains to religion. He however asserts that his grandparents had a different view since they wanted him to attend the church in which they were elders. This shows how the cultural values keep on ever-changing as generations come and go. The grandparents hold the belief that their child should go to the church th ey are in art object the parents feel that one has a choice of which religion to follow. This age gap creates a lot of conflicts between the age groups. This issue has to be addressed in order for people to live in harmony. Dominic emphasizes that in his culture, women are the bread winners. They are supposed to start up families and also bring them up. Women in his culture are seen to be involved in activities such as putting up and owning businesses, be radio and television producers, musicians, scientists and even teachers. To him, the woman in their culture can work anywhere so recollective as she provides food at the table for the family and also raise children. This could be unrepentant to some other cultures.Dominic does not find problems in his workplace as far as cultural values are concerned since he comes from an English Caribbean island whose cultural values have quite many similarities with those in Australia. This implies that people who dont have some common values to those in Australia are likely to have problems in the workplace. He also confesses that he has neer worked in his home country. This could be the reason why he adapts easily to working in Australia since he has no experience of how it feels to work in an environment in whose culture one holds. He however admits to be facing challenges in his home environment since he married someone whose culture is different from his. This problem extends to the children who also seem to be holding different values from those held by their father. This demonstrates how culture can go to bringing conflicts to people in the analogous family. As a result, people need to be educated on how to avoid or overcome such conflicts when they arise. Joseph G. Ponterotto (2001). Cultural values also differ in social places and occasions.According to Dominic, social places in Australia dont do similar things to what is done in Jamaica. To him, social occasions such as parties should be dominated by music, d ancing and food. Drinking is not necessary in such parties, and even if someone wants to drink, then it should be done later. This is contrary to the Australian social occasions where people go purposefully to drink. In Jamaica, the major activities to take place are song and dance. Joseph G. Ponterotto (2001). He finally says that people need to be tolerant of all cultures and appreciate people despite their differences.People should be discriminated simply because they come from different cultures. In fact, people should try to understand other peoples cultures since they may find something good in them that they may like to learn and live by. Shahe S. Kazarian, David R. Evans (2001) Ramya begins to define the term culture by emphasizing that it is so important to the Indian people. She defines it as the way of people that has been followed for a long time. Thus, she feels that culture is acquired from the time someone is born to the end of that persons life. She views culture as a means through ones characters are molded. She believes that culture makes ones life to be successful and happy. She believes that culture influences most of her decisions and that people are not supposed to compromise their cultures. She also argues that culture defines how to adapt to different environments and hence is flexible to changes which are necessary after questioning and comparing the cultures. Ramya believes that what is important to our parents may not be important to us since we are of a different generation. She goes ahead and gives examples of things which employ to be of priority to our parents but no longer are to us. These include culture, family, respect, unity and love towards the family. On religion, Ramya feels that this is one of the greatest points of conflict. She views the Indian religion as much more complicated than the other religions such as Christianity, Islam and Buddhism. Her concern is more on what is within a given religion. According to her, thi s has affected many relationships especially in situations where parents limit their children on who to play with and who to marry.Being asked to marry a certain person because he /she is from your religion or not marrying someone you love because he/she is from a different religion is what she considers critical point for the young people. This issue needs to be addressed since it is dividing people on ghostly lines, hence on cultural lines. Joseph G. Ponterotto (2001) In the Indian culture, women used to be considered inferior and men superior to them. Men were allowed to get better education while women were supposed to do household chores such as cooking and getting married off at a very tender age. However, this has changed as generations came up and women are being viewed as being equal to men. This shows how cultural values are changing with time hence requiring that peoples attitudes towards cultures different from theirs should also change. Raymas culture on this issue of g ender is different from that of Dominic since in Dominics culture the woman is the bread winner. Shahe S. Kazarian, David R. Evans (2001) At the workplace, Rayma feels that culture determines how you relate to people. It gives guidelines on what to say, and what to do.It helps one cope with challenges at work. It enables understand other people and integrate them even when we dont hold the same cultural values. That loyalty and sincerity come from learning our cultures. At home, culture is our everyday life. Home is the ground where one learns and implements his culture. People get to understand why they hold certain values hence learn to appreciate and adore them. In the social environment, culture reflects who a person is. It gives one an identity. It also gives a person an opportunity to learn other cultures and let others know the persons culture. As a result, people get to learn, understand and appreciate each others culture. Rita Sommerrs-flanagan (2002). Finally, Rayma feels that cultural divide alone occurs when people are narrow minded and not ready to be flexible. People should be ready and willing to accept and appreciate other peoples cultures even when some of the values seem to conflict. Rita Sommerrs-flanagan (2002) Conclusion Information obtained from the interview shows that differences in geographical location of places where we live, gender and religion are among factors that result to cultural differences.Culture in its real sense is the set of values that guide and dictate a societys way of life in order to live in harmony and unity. The fact that we hold different cultural values should not be a reason to cause divisions among us. We should incessantly learn to accommodate everyone despite of their cultural values and hoe different they are from ours. This document has shown that indeed we are different but we can admire staying together as one so long as we appreciate each other. Counselors should look for ways of making their clients learn how to cope in different environments with different people who hold different cultural values. The people should also be made aware of the importance of learning to accommodate each other. capital of Minnesota Pedersen (2002) References 1. History, The Bourgeoisie, The Proletariat, and Communism Essay Example for Free

History, The Bourgeoisie, The Proletariat, and Communism EssayKarl Marx begins the first chapter of his The commie Manifesto with the opening line The account of entirely hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles (ch. 1). Underlying each of history is this fundamental economic theme, that each society has its own economic structure which breeds different classesa manifold degree of social rank, he calls it (ch. 1). These classes inevitably becomes in conflict with each new(prenominal)that because of their economic structure, some class becomes the oppressors while others become the oppressed. He argued that the oppressors and oppressed stood in constant opposition to one another on an uninterrupted fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary re-constitution of society at large, or in the common ruin of the contending classes (ch. 1). He described his time as a struggle between two classes the Bourgeoisie and the Ploretariat. Marx claims that the modern mercenary society of his time has not helped to remove, although have simplified, clash antagonisms, but had, instead, established new classes, new conditions of oppression, and new forms of struggle in place of the old ones (ch.1). He saw the bourgeoisie as a product of a great course of outgrowth, of a series of revolutions in the modes of production and of exchange, and that each step of its development was accompanied by a corresponding political advance (ch. 1). He claims that the executive of the modern State is but a committee for managing the common individualised matters of the whole bourgeoisie, that it cannot exist without constantly revolutionising the instruments of production, and thereby the relations of production, and with them the whole relations of society (ch.1). He said that it has torn the feudal ties that bound men to his natural superiors, and has left no other nexus between man and man than naked self-interest (ch. 1). He goes on to explain tha t the bourgeoisie draws all landed estate into civilization with all the rapid improvements of production and by the greatly facilitated means of communication. However, he claims that they create a world after its own image, that is, for all nations to lead the bourgeois mode of production. The bougeiosie, according to Marx, has created enormous cities, has greatly increased the urban commonwealth as compared with the rural, and has thus rescued a considerable part of the population from the idiocy of rural life but that it has exchangeablewise concentrated property in a few hands (ch. 1). He argued that for many a ten-spot past the history of industry and commerce is but the history of the revolt of modern productive forces against modern conditions of production, against the property relations that are the conditions for the existence of the bourgeoisie and of its rule (ch.1). At the end, he states that its existence is no longer compatible with society and is unfit to be th e ruling class of society since it is incompetent to undertake an existence to its slave within his slavery (ch. 1). The proletarians, on the other hand, are, during Marxs time, the modern working classa class of labourers, who live only so long as they find work, and who find work only so long as their labour increases capital (Marx ch. 1).Marx claims that the proletarians lost its individual character and charm because of the extensive use of machinery and of the division of labour. They have become an appendage of the machines. He said that lobourers are commodities which are expensive to use but are exploited by the bougeoisie. Marx explains that the proletariat began its struggle as soon as this class was created, at first as an induvidual struggle of the laborer, and later groups of workers.Workers before were still disorganized, divided by goegraphy and by competition with one another. Marx claims that when workers first formed unions, they did so under the influence of th e bourgeois and served to further the objectives of the bourgeoisie. The distinction between workers was obliterated due to the stipend being reduced to low level. As the proletariat increased in numbers and concentrated in greater mass by forming Trade Unions, they also increased in strenght and local struggles were centralized into one national struggle between classes.Marx further explains that the proletariat alone is a really revolutionary class, that other classes are conservatives or reactionary that fight against the bourgeoisie in order to save from extinction their existence as fractions of the middle class (ch. 1). Because proletarians have vigour of their own to secure, Marx claims that their mission is to destroy all previous securities for, and insurances of, individual property (ch. 1). The proletarian movement, Marx further explains, is the self-concious, independent movement of the immense majority, in the interest of the immense majority (ch.1). Marx explains tha t the Communist Party points out and addresses the common interests of the entire proletariat, in their national struggles in different countries, independent of nationality, and represents the interests of the working class in the unlike stages of development it has to pass through from the struggle against the bourgeoisie. The Communist Party, therefore, still according to Marx, is the most advanced, resolute section of the working-class of every country, that section which pushes forward all others (ch.2). It has the same aim as that of all the other proletarian parties, which is to overthrow the bourgeois supremacy and to prove its own political power. Marx goes on to explain that the abolition of existing property relations is not a distinctive feature of Communism, that the feature of Communism is not the abolition of property in general, but the abolition of the bourgeois property, which is, according to him, the final and most complete expression of the system of producing and appropriating products (Marx ch.2). Simply put, Marx states that Communism is a struggle that aims for the abolition of private property. Communism would like to abolish the conception that the labourer merely lives to increase capital, and is allowed only to live insofar as the interest of the ruling class requires it that labour is meant to widen, enrich and pull ahead the existence of the labourer is what the Communism is fighting for. Communism is, in a way, a struggle of the lower strata of the society against the upper strata. However, it is not a personal struggle of the poor against the rich, it is a societal and political struggle for equality of appropriation of property. Marx explains that Communism deprives no man of the power to appropriate the products of society all that it does is to deprive him of the power to subjugate the labour of others by means of such appropriation (ch. 2). With its teachings and goals, labour groups and lower working class would have fo und The Communist Manifesto appealing. The Capitalists, of course, would not have found it appealing, as the manifesto seeks to destroy their current stature and their self-interest would be compromized. On the other hand, Communism would seek to empower labour groups and they would find it all to their advantage to support its cause. The Industrial Revolution has created a majority lower class workers, many of whom lived in beggary under terrible working conditions. The Communist Manifesto calls on all labourers to unite, promising them a better life sprouting from a better world.
